Our approach to the youth and their challenges is based on John 10:10 – the thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).
From that perspective, every possible situation in a teen’s life is measured up against this Scripture and then categorised as either ‘steal, kill and destroy’ or ‘life in abundance’. Take education for example – although it feels like steal, kill and destroy, it is in actual fact life in abundance. These youngsters are actively involved in the debate and they are the ones coming to the conclusion. As a result it is slotted under the heading ‘life in abundance’ . The next ‘issue’ is then tackled. That way tipical topics are debated and categorised. There is always a question and answer time and the idea is to prove to the young people that the Bible is truly the Word of God and so inspired by Holy Spirit that it is as relevant today as when it was written. We prove to them that there is no question regarding life that cannot be answered from the Bible based on 2 Timothy 3:16 – Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, and for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action)
